Fished in front of Brandenburg in 8' to 11' with zero luck so we made the run down south of Metro Beach. We started out from the spillway and finally took a 40" 16lb Ski on a Walleye colored Wiley (sorry Rocket!) 25'back/6oz in 11' on a side rod. Great morning! It's the first one over 50" ever taken on board my boat in 7+ years. I'll shoot you a pic once I get them developed. BTW - Your deadly $9 Bass got the big girl, and three other ones this year so far. Its been the best start to the season ever! So far we have landed 7 muskies, and missed a few more! All in three trips out! Life is good. First fish was caught casting in shallow water with small jerk bait. Other two trolling with home make lures. 32 inch -36 inch. overall good day. Caught a 40 inch, 10 pound muskie in front of Fords Cove in about 14 to 16ft. of water. Caught it on a flourescnt orange/yellow/black w silver streak Hi-Fin bucktail. Board rod 2/80. All fish that might have been muskies were marked on the fish finder 2 ft beneath the surface in about 13 - 16 ft. of water. Drowned wood from 12 mile to Huron Pt back halfway to the light and then in to 11 mile. Nice morning but no success. Speed went from 2-4 mph. Not a weed on any line. Tried 1 oz to 10 oz 10-60' back. Not a single rip. So hot and calm. Going out tomorrow, hopefully we will do better. Tight Lines Jordan Rivington <jordan.rivington$gmail.com> Windsor, On Canada - Friday, June 08, 2007 at 21:11:36 (CDT) awsome opener, Fished anchor Bay in front of lottie View got first Ski on a $9 dollar bass 6oz and 15 back in the prop wash nice fat fish 36" about 10 lbs, made a few more circles fish # 2 41" 15lbs on a 10" firetiger Jake side rod 2 oz and 10 back, speed was 3.5 to 4.4 10 fow saw a few ski's feeding on the top. The fleet final got wise as to me catching fish and 10 boats stayed close by, I saw Makowish hookup on a nice ski but the ski thru the hook. we then trolled pass the salt river to the clinton river where makowish almost got hit by some A#$#$## yahoo in a go fast boat comming in the channel for the river. the guy was less then 15 feet from his bow a full speed. then called it a day, going back out in the morning RiverRat New Baltimore, Mi USA - Saturday, June 02, 2007 at 18:42:50 (CDT) Hope everyone has a great opening day.
